Tahawai Parish of Lot 5 at Ongare Point is administered by the Ongare Trust. The land was returned to the owners after a 99 year lease with peppercorn rentals came to an end in 1981.

The core asset has grown to 46.3792 hectares of land diversified in horticulture, shares, term deposits and pastoral. The business is currently experiencing a period of consolidation with day to day operations being managed by Orchard Assets Manager Kevin Enoka Waiari and the Board being Chaired by Parewhati Taikato.
